How to Customize the Portal View
By: Jim Gaffney

Often users will find that the application sometimes looks overwhelming, just so many features and modules to choose from.

In some cases this problem may have already been solved for you by a security role which prevents you from being able to access certain modules. If that is the case, you might just want to remove them from your portal pages thereby making the portal a little less “busy” to look at.

To change the look and feel of the portal pages you have licenses for, click on the Personalization icon on the My Portal tab.

When the Personalization page appears, click on the “Portal” menu page.

This page displays two sections, the section on the left displays the Menu Tab pages that appear on the selected Portal.

Un-checking a checkbox on the left-most column will remove that Menu Tab from the Portal. Checking the checkbox on the right-most column will add that Menu Tab to the My Portal page. To change the Order that the Menu Tab appear on the list, highlight a line and click on the Up or Down Arrows to move the line appropriately.

Note: The My Portal page is a completely customizable page, which the user can select to display all their favorite or most often used modules and put them in one easy to access location.

The Section on the right of the page displays a list of all module links within that Portal. The same rules apply on this section as well, except for the feature that any module links above the red line represent modules that will appear across the top line of the portal below the Portal tabs.

The user can click the Right and Left Arrows to page through all the Portals the user is licensed to or can click the List button to view all portals in list format.

Click the My Portal page to view all the additions/changes made to the My Portal page.

The My Portal page can be set to be displayed as either the first or last tab on the Portal tab display.

When the user is done editing all the Portal pages, click the Home button and then click the Yes button to save all the changes and the user will be returned to the Portal with all changes now displayed.
