Service Organizations are Looking to Their Service Business to Drive More Revenue
In Aberdeen’s 2012 service revenue survey of 130 organizations, 87% of respondents indicated that they had a service revenue initiative in place, compared to 75% of respondents in Aberdeen’s 2011 Service Revenue: State of the Market research (October 2011). Of those with programs in place, 92% had service revenue goals in place, quite often for quarterly or more frequent time periods.
Leading service organizations are not only aggressive in setting revenue goals, but much more successful in attaining these goals via a combined focus on contract management, workforce empowerment, pricing optimization, organizational collaboration, and the development of new value-added services.
