Summary:
The position entails

Being involved in the technical implementation of Astea product suites from planning through architecting and system builds, support/analysis to a final system hand over.
Architecting and solution enterprise EDI
Pre and post implementation activities such as support, problem diagnosis/resolution, installation, sizing, re-architecture, and upgrades.
A flexible travel schedule with possibility of up to 50% travel with overnight stays. Some high travel peaks may occur.

Responsibilities:

A broad working/ implementation knowledge of commercial enterprise applications
Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate technical account management with customer and internal senior management
Strong working knowledge of enterprise scale N-Tier and SOA architectures and applications preferably Microsoft Technologies
Experience developing and implementing with EDI and middleware solutions like Biztalk, Websphere, Web logic, etc., with commercial enterprise applications
Displays a strong technology leadership skill and be able to strategize enterprise system solutions with roadmaps using cutting edge technologies
Strong analytical skills to resolve complex design issues
Develop solutions and strategies with existing product and future direction
Database administration, operations and management skills are desired (Oracle and MS SQL Server)
Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of Astea offerings and obtain industry domain knowledge
Carry out design, implementation and programming activities that require research and analysis.
Infrastructure and operations knowledge are preferred
Networking and security skills are preferred
Troubleshooting tools, Network sniffer, data base profiler are desired
Working knowledge of mobile and tethered infrastructures are a plus

Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Administration or related field; Advanced degree in related field desired
4 to 6 years total experience with 2 to 3 years of experience in technical consulting and implementing solutions within a complex software environment, covering one or more of the following areas: system design and end-to-end solution design, application performance tuning, integration with other systems, applications architecture, and resilience, scalability, system management, deployment architecture
Knowledge of VB.NET, ASP.NET, C#, Visual Studio.net.
.net framework experience required.
Experience with design and carrying through life cycle to operational reality at least 1 complex system architecture, comprising multiple components across heterogeneous server and network infrastructures, typically multi-vendor systems, for large-scale user bases and varied processing profiles
Awareness of the principle service oriented working architectures and associated benefits
Intermediate to Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (i.e., Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Self-starter with ability to manage and execute work in dynamic client and team settings
Ability to show leadership by leading system architecture and blueprint engagements in complex environments
Client presentation skill to executive and/or other technicians is critical for the role
