Summary:
The primary function of this level 2 support role is to provide superior maintenance support to Astea International customers to resolve reported software issues. This is an addition to staff needed due to increased workload.
Responsibilities:
Perform the following duties and responsibilities utilizing defined procedures and policies:
- Research and develop solutions for reported customer problems in a timely manner
- Carry out design, implementation and maintenance activities that require research and analysis within our .NET, Windows Mobile/CE, C++ environment.
- Gather details to perform necessary tests and analyses * Conduct unit and integration testing
- Update calls and document procedures used to resolve problems
- Continuous self-development through expanded product knowledge, mastering newly implemented technology and staying abreast of the latest relevant technologies
- Meet deadlines, prioritize and handle multiple tasks while working independently and as a member of a team
- Ability to communicate (written and verbal) with employees, management and team members in a concise and professional manner
- Nominal travel may be required
Requirements:
- Related Bachelor's degree (BS) from a four-year college or university in business, software engineering or computer science or related field
- Minimum of 2-3-years application software experience
- Basic knowledge of software development methodologies, design and implementation * Good analytical and design skills at single-product/single-environment level
- Ability to learn how business issues may impact overall project plans * Outstanding communication and customer service skills
- Thorough knowledge VB, VB.NET, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, C #, C++, and Visual Studio.net experience preferred, and SQL Server 2000 skills
