How will my organization be affected?
This acquisition will positively affect your organization, since we will now be able to supplement our current Astea Alliance solution with more advanced, leading edge mobility solutions as well as our combined service management expertise is more than 36 years. We will be maintaining the FieldCentrix team and will therefore be extending our staff with more field service experts to continue bringing you top-notch solutions to drive business benefits for your organization.
Customer investments in Astea and FieldCentrix solutions will be totally supported and protected.
Astea’s product suite will continue to evolve with new functionality - this acquisition will not deter our commitment to continuous innovation. In fact, it enables us to deliver solutions quicker to accelerate business benefits for your organization.
What are the biggest benefits I will see?
A major benefit to you will be our ability to now offer stronger mobility solutions that are tightly integrated into Astea Alliance as well as gaining access to a larger sales, support, services and product development team.
Additionally by merging expert resources we will be able to bring innovative products to the market in a shorter time period to further optimize your service organization.
This acquisition further demonstrates our commitment and ongoing focus to delivering Service Lifecycle Management solutions to become the only vendor with all of the functionality you need in a single integrated solution.
How will this change the product I use?
This acquisition will not change the way you use the product.
When will the products interoperate?
Due to the fact that both solutions use Microsoft .NET and XML technologies it makes it easier and faster to ensure interoperability – we plan on being interoperable by the end of the year.
What is the timetable for integration?
We expect to deliver a combined product leveraging the strengths of both Astea Alliance and FieldCentrix Enterprise in 2H06.
Will there be discounts to encourage a shift, if I’m using a competitor’s product?
We will most likely be creating special incentive packages to promote cross-selling of our solutions.
Will any products be phased out?
At this time we do not plan on phasing out any products. In fact, development is still going on and the next FieldCentrix release (v4.1) is due at the end of the year. We will continue to honor our annual maintenance agreements and we will work with our customers to ensure an easy transition over time to a tightly integrated product that combines the best of the Astea Alliance and FieldCentrix Enterprise features.
What is your development strategy and timelines? When will you be prepared to communicate it?
We continue to adhere to our development strategy and timelines for the Astea Alliance solution suite with v8 being available at the end of Q1 2006. The FieldCentrix product v4.1 will be available at the end of this year.
How will the new company/products meet my immediate and evolving business needs?
With the influx of strong personnel with service expertise combined with Astea’s more than 26 years of domain expertise means that we will be able to continue bringing innovative solutions to the market in a shorter period of time that meet your exact specifications.
How can I apply FieldCentrix’s solutions to my operation? Which devices does it support? How much does it cost?

Will we have new contacts to work with?
For the immediate future, you will continue to work with your current contacts at FieldCentrix and Astea. We will be consolidating partner relationships between the two companies.
How do we engage in the field for new sales opportunities?
we will provide a sales roster of the combined sales team and materials to introduce you to our industry-leading robust service lifecycle management offerings.
Will there be a shift in product technology and company strategy that may affect business partner relationships?
The existing business partnerships that Astea and FieldCentrix have will remain intact, as the core products from both companies will continue to be enhanced and maintained and eventually tightly integrated. In fact business partners will be able to expand the scope of our relationships with the extended functionalities the combined company offers to organizations.
